You can go on holiday to Turkey with TUI from August.

Holidays during the COVID-19 pandemic will be slightly different to what you’re used to. But, we’re doing everything we can to make sure that you have a brilliant TUI holiday. We understand how important it is to know what to expect while you’re away. That’s why we’ve put together this page to fill you in on everything you need to know about your holiday to Turkey, from face masks to social distancing.

COVID Cover

As part of our TUI Holiday Promise, all bookings in 2020 have COVID Cover included. This means you can amend your holiday for free if you contract COVID-19 before you travel. It’s also got a Holiday Guarantee insurance policy built in. This means that if you contract COVID-19 while you’re away, you’re covered for overseas medical assistance, testing costs and a flight home for treatment if required. It’s designed for use alongside your usual travel insurance, and is subject to T&Cs.

Your flight and hotel experience

We’ve put a range of new measures in place on our TUI flights, in line with all the latest government and holiday industry expert advice. You’ll need to check in online, wear a mask throughout the flight and also at some airports. As for our hotels, we’re making sure they’ve got the highest possible hygiene standards in place before re-opening. You can find out more about your flight, transfer and hotel experience here. Here are the main things you need to be aware of.

Social distancing distance 2 metres.
Face mask requirements for adults Face masks are mandatory when outside and in public spaces, including shops, buses and cars. Hotels are not considered public spaces, so you won’t be required to wear a face mask. No one is considered medically exempt from wearing a mask. And a visor cannot be worn as an alternative to a mask.
Face mask requirements for children Anyone over the age of 2 needs to wear a face mask in public spaces.
Am I required to fill out a Passenger Locator Form? You need to complete a Passenger Locator Form on your flight to Turkey. The cabin crew will provide the form, but you’ll need to have a pen handy.
Good to know Before passport control, each passenger is required to go through thermal screening for a temperature check. If you test positive, you’ll be taken to hospital for treatment.

Here’s what you can expect while you’re out and about in Turkey.

Beaches Open. Swimmers are required to keep a distance of 1.5 to 2 metres.
Restaurants and bars  Restaurants and cafés are open, but you’re required to put on a face mask before entering. Bars and hookah cafés aren’t currently open.
Sights Open.
Supermarkets Open.
Other facilities Restaurants, cafés, museums, beaches, parks and sports facilities are open.

Here’s the key information on getting to Turkey.

Flights with TUI Check in for your flight on the TUI or First Choice App or online. Check-in opens 24 hours before your flight, and closes three hours before departure. You’ll be asked to certify that you’re fit to travel.

Here are your options for travelling within Turkey.

Car rental Not yet known – we’re working on it.
Public transport Face masks must be worn on buses and in taxis. Only three passengers can ride in a taxi at a time. However, this does not apply to people from the same household. .
Hiking Not yet known – we’re working on it.
Biking Not yet known – we’re working on it.
