Which airport is closest to the city centre?
London Heathrow Airport is the closest airport to the city centre. It’s just under 30 miles away, and you can use the Piccadilly Line of the London Underground to travel between the two – it’s one of the most direct public transport routes available.
Which London airport is best to fly from?
The best London airport to fly from depends on what you’re looking for when it comes to holidays. London Heathrow Airport is the biggest and busiest in the country, and is typically where most flights to long-haul destinations, like the Maldives, take off from. But, that doesn’t mean you’re stuck with London Heathrow if your heart’s set on a tropical escape. You can still fly directly to places like Mexico and the Dominican Republic with TUI Airways from London Stansted, London Luton and London Southend.
Can I hire a car from all London airports?
Yes, you can hire a car at all five of the London airports that we fly from. Just so you know, you can’t book car hire directly with us. You’ll have to organise that with a third-party supplier that’s based at, or near, the airport you’re planning to use.
