Gümbet holidays
Jump to sections
Holidays to Gumbet take you to one of Turkey's buzziest resorts. It certainly covers you for nightlife and shopping, and you've got a kilometre's worth of beach, too.
A party town
This buzzing, modern resort has come a long way since its days as a sleepy fishing village. Today, it’s one of Turkey’s most popular destinations, thanks to its reputation for top-notch watersports and nightlife. If you head beyond the beach, you’ll discover a buzzing hub of bars and discos to rival its party-hard neighbour, Bodrum Town.
Blue Flag beach
Gumbet’s seashore is one of the longest and most popular on the Bodrum Peninsula. And you’ve got a full kilometre of sands to play with. Known for its watersports, the beach is no slouch on the food-and-drink front, either. Behind the sands, you’ll find hotels, restaurants and cafés. The sunbeds and umbrellas they provide are free to use, so long as you buy a drink.
Near Bodrum Town
You’re a 10-minute dolmus ride to Bodrum Town, so it’s easy to flit between the two. The capital of the Turkish Riviera, Bodrum dishes up a mix of culture and glamour. Here you’ll find one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus – or what remains of it, at least. Later on, a club scene that’s louder than Istanbul’s keeps Bar Street buzzing all night.
