Watersports and ancient caves

There are more than just beaches on offer in this stretch of Turkey’s Mediterranean coast. Watersports are big business, too, with the likes of snorkelling, jet-skiing and parasailing among the most popular options. For something less adrenaline pumping, you can always hire a pedalo to take in the scenery from the water. Beldibi Cave is another must see away from the beaches. This prehistoric archaeological site, where early humans once lived, is perched 25 metres above sea level and dates back over three million years.

Daytrips to Kemer and Antalya

Beldibi’s proximity to Kemer and Antalya means you’ll have two of Turkey’s must-visit towns to pick from when it comes to daytrips. The former’s about 15 minutes’ drive away, and lines up boutiques, bazaars and a chic marina, as well as the Blue Flag-winning Moonlight Bay. Antalya, on the other hand, is about an hour away by car. Here, you can check out ancient landmarks like Hadrian’s Gate, and get lost in the streets of Kaleici old town.
