Glamour and glitz

Not for nothing is Lara Beach known as Turkey’s Las Vegas. Here you’ve got a strip lined with epic hotels modelled on world-famous landmarks. So don’t be surprised to stumble across the Kremlin or Titanic on your travels. And just like in Vegas, you’ll find clubs and even the odd celebrity. Only here, you’ve also got an eight-kilometre sandy beach.

Blue Flag beach

This golden-sand beach delivers gentle waves and plenty of room to roam. There’s a big stretch of public beach here, but the hotels have dibs on most of the sands. The hotel sections guarantee lots of amenities – there are umbrellas and loungers, as well as stylish beach bars serving snacks and cocktails.

Daytrips to Antalya

Lara Beach is a 25-minute drive from Antalya, the biggest city on the Turkish Med. Make your way to Kaleici, the well-preserved old town, where you’ve got cobbled, winding streets bursting with character. The old town sits right above the marina, which is a handy place to grab a coffee. And later, you can take the tram along the seafront to the Antalya museum, which is packed with Greek and Roman relics.
