Best time to go to Florence
Florence boasts a typical Italian climate, with May to September ushering in the warmest weather. The peak summer months of July and August see the temperature soar into the early 30s, while April, May and late September keep things a little cooler with an average of 20°C. If you want to avoid the crowds, hit the city between November and March. You’ll want to layer up, but the queues are non-existent and there’s more time to explore Florence’s many galleries and museums without fighting for viewing space.
