Where we sail in Egypt
If you want to scratch beneath Egypt’s sandy surface, our Nile river cruises have you covered. They start and finish in Luxor – nicknamed ‘the world’s greatest open-air museum’ for its ancient sights like the Valley of the Kings and the Avenue of Sphinxes. In between, there are stops in Edfu, Kom Ombo and Aswan, where some of the country’s best-preserved temples are on the cards. All eyes on Luxor
The ancient sites in Luxor are up there with anything you’ll find elsewhere in Egypt – so much so that the city’s been dubbed ‘the world’s greatest open-air museum’. Luxor Temple’s in the heart of the city – this giant complex is flanked by two seated statues of Ramesses II at its entrance. At the other end of the Avenue of Sphinxes, you’ll find the Temple of Karnak, while across the Nile lies the Valley of the Kings – home to Tutankhamun’s tomb.Top Egypt river cruise itineraries

Port of call in Egypt
Kom Ombo
This place is a firm favourite with history buffs, who flock here to see the town’s famous temple, which has been standing for more than 2,000 years. It’s pretty unique, too, as it’s a double temple – after the Ancient Egyptians had moved on, the Romans came in and added an extension, and much of it’s still standing.
