    Classic Costa Blanca beaches

    The beaches of Levante and Poniente play starring roles in any holiday to Benidorm. They work hard for their Blue Flag status, too, serving up sand that’s cleaned every night.     Day trips to Alicante

    For a change of scene, take a day trip to Alicante, the capital of Valencia. There’s some serious shopping to be done here — you can stock up souvenirs in the old quarter, check out high street names in the shopping centre, or browse the boutiques around the classy marina.
