This place gets plenty of repeat visitors, thanks to its close-to-town location. The beach is just five minutes’ stroll, too.
The Benidorm Plaza Hotel is set on the edge of Benidorm’s old town, so you’ve got tapas bars, shops and restaurants on your doorstep. Plus, it’s a five-minute walk from lively Levante Beach.
Inside, the hotel’s got a contemporary look – expect smart rooms with bold red walls and wooden décor. The indoor sauna and indoor hot tub are worth a mention, too.

We've stayed at the Plaza before but were very disappointed this time. When we opened the door of the room we were given we could smell strong cigarette smoke before we stepped into the room - the room absolutely stank of cigarettes. Not good for non-smokers. This should have been picked up by house keeping staff and the room should not have been offered to any one in this state. We went straight down to reception and luckily the lady was able to offer another room because we could not have spent one night in the first room. From the quick glimpse of the room, it also looked rather dated and was not a "nice" room, not like the "red" and "green" rooms. Even if the room had not smelt, we probably would have asked for another. Not a good start if you are tired and hot due to a delayed flight. Regarding the food, this time we found it very bland and often cold. If you were a bit late going down for breakfast some things, such as the sausages, had run out. We occasionally found this at dinner as well (in particular our first evening due to our later arrival). We love the location of the Plaza and the entertainment (or lack of it) has never bothered us as we prefer to go out and, as before, the staff were friendly and our second room was always cleaned and fresh linen and towels provided. Just such a shame that the start of our holiday. Not our first visit to the Plaza but probably our last. This was our most expensive trip here but the poorest value.More
another wonderful stay at The Hotel Benidorm Plaza
This is a great hotel in the perfect location for everything. The hotel its self is very clean all the staff are friendly and accommodating. The food selection in the restaurant was great. The entertainment was fine. The bar staff were great. Our holiday was perfect. This was our 3rd year running coming to this wonderful hotel. Thank you Hotel Benidorm Plaza for making our stay fantastic!!!!!!!More
Third year in a row.
This is our third year staying at the Benidorm Plaza. As mentioned in an earlier review excellent location to the old town and beach. Hotel communal areas are spotless and the bedrooms serviced daily. Choice of food in the restaurant is very good and the staff excellent, thanks to Mattias, Miguel, Toni and all the other staff for looking after us. Bar staff again work very hard and very attentive and drinks not baldy priced. Yes this hotel is mainly used by Spanish who are enjoying a holiday, but the hotel does cater for all its guests including the British but if you want pie and mash every night with a side order of jellied eel washed down with a pale ale and karaoke then book the Solana. I myself prefer this hotel and its proximity to the Old Town - the real Benidrom and the real Spain. Thank you once again Plaza and all the staff for a great time and hope to see you next year.More
British No Go
Returned 30th September after 7 days of wonderful Spanish sunshine. We stayed at the Benidorm Plaza, THIS HOTEL IS FOR SPANISH GUESTS. We arrived about an hour late, reception very ordinary, not a focal point, our welcome was more tepid than warm, passport check, key card and direction to lift. Our room on the 7th floor was small but had everything we needed, very clean, good bathroom, fridge, TV and a couple of bottles of water, tea maker. View not too good but we are not people to sit in our room. Pool area smallish, not much sun as it's built up all around, always clean and tidy. Only one bar, bar staff always quick to serve you, and were very good. The dinning room staff were also very good but the food offered was provided mainly to the taste of Spanish guests, no problems there if you know this before hand and then make the decision to holiday there. Entertainment might have been good but as this too was for Spaniards, we had no way of telling which is the reason we spent every night out in town. Will not be returning to this hotel, but will be on the plane to Benidorm again soon.More
