Best time to go to North Aegean Islands
The weather in the North Aegean is similar to the rest of Greece. Summers are long and hot, with the temperatures rising from the low 20s in May to the early 30s in August. While some of the southern Greek Islands experience a wind called the meltemi, the likes of Thassos and Samos are slightly out of the gusts’ line of fire. There are very few rainy days in the North Aegean in the summer, although the green interiors of some of the islands give away the fact that this part of Greece gets marginally more precipitation than other areas.
