Weddings in Cyprus

Tie the knot in the birthplace of Aphrodite.

An island that marries scenery and romance

According to legend, Cyprus is the birthplace of the Goddess of Love, Aphrodite. It’s thought the immortal temptress enjoyed secret forest trysts here with a string of ancient gods, like Ares and Adonis. Fast forward a bit, and the Roman general, Mark Antony, is said to have skipped the jewellery and presented the island to Cleopatra as a token of his love. And with all that romance – and over 300 days of sunshine a year – it’s no wonder Cyprus is a popular choice for a destination wedding.

No matter your budget, scenic wedding settings are easy to come by here – you can tie the knot in either Paphos or Larnaca, on a beach, on a cliff overlooking the sea, in a historical town hall, or even on a yacht.
