Best time to go to Reykjavik
As the world’s northernmost capital, Reykjavik sees chilly temperatures year-round. In winter, it can dip well below freezing, so you’ll want to pack your biggest coat – especially if you’re going in search of the Northern Lights. In summer, temperatures are milder, sometimes reaching the mid to high teens, and there’s a lot less rain and snow. Plus, the midnight sun means there’s almost 24-hour daylight, which is ideal if you’ve got a lot of sights to squeeze in on a short break.
