    We booked this hotel because we’d thought it would be a safe option without doing too much homework, i.e. one can never really go wrong with a conventional four star. However we are feeling so disappointed that we must share our poor experience on TripAdvisor even before checking out tomorrow morning. First of all, the extractor fan in the bathroom doesn’t work, which left all the condensation or smell(!) dwelling inside the room forever afterwards. We mentioned it to the reception but heard nothing from them since. Secondly none of the dirty cups have been replaced, washed, or even tidied up, for the 2 days we’ve stayed so far. We have never experienced anything like that before, even for those more budget hotels! Last but not least, we found our clothes were moved onto the top of the lamp when we returned to the room at the end of the day! The only star here was given to the the staff in the hotel brasserie. Almost all of them were very nice and friendly, especially the Singaporean lady.

    Absolutely pleasant stay at this hotel. Front of house staff not very forthcoming with information and politeness. One evening poor girl on bar was running around being very busy and not just one member but 4 members of staff was sat behind desk busy doing nothing. Fantastic credit to staff in bar and restaurant areas. Hotel was clean and very inviting, rooms were clean at all times and so comfy bed. Food was excellent and very tasty, bargain happy hour. Walk into town centre was approx 15 to 20 minutes if you walked at a steady pace. Would recommend this hotel to family and friends overall great enjoyment of stay. Many thanks.

    The hotel is beautiful! I loved that Christmas decor was up, which made the lobby festive. I also appreciated the gentleman roasting cinnamon nuts in the lobby and Christmas music playing in the lobby during the evenings. The grey haired bartender in the lobby was not very friendly when I went to the bar ☹️ However, Alma in the spa was fantastic! She made up for the grumpy bartender. The hotel was a nice, safe 20 minute walk to downtown shopping and restaurants.

    Lovely to trip to Iceland. The receptionist were incredibly helpful. The hotel was in a fantastic location and within walking distance to everything. Such a beautiful and a beautiful hotel. The hotel was clean, absolutely spotless. Nothing to complain about at all would love to come back here again.

    My husband and I were on our honeymoon and we were upgraded to a junior suite, they even gave us a sweet note to welcome us, we felt very blessed. The room was quiet, and the bed was so comfortable. The spa and gym were good as well. The hotel was very near to Kringlan and it was well located and easy to find. Partially also we rented a car, so going anywhere from the hotel was very convenient, but I saw that they provide shuttle services as well. They also has a basement carpark, which was our saviour when it rained heavily one morning. My husband also liked the decoration at the lobby, with the Christmas tree. The international buffet breakfast was fantastic too, with a wide variety of choices. Our 2 nights there was nothing but amazing, we will definitely book this hotel should we visit Iceland again.
