Ca'n Picafort holidays
Jump to sections
Holidays to Ca'n Picafort are all about taking it easy. The long sandy beach starts right on your doorstep, the lively town is completely walkable, and the seafront bars and restaurants offer great views over the bay.
A laidback pace
Set on the north-east coast of Majorca, Ca’n Picafort is a purpose-built resort with wide, palm-studded streets. The offering of bars and restaurants covers home favourites and tastes of Spain, and the relaxed pace suits the neat, compact layout of the place. There’s nothing small-scale about the beach, though – you get a full 13 kilometres of sand to play with.
Acres of sand
In Ca’n Picafort, all roads lead to the beach. Shops, bars and restaurants line up along the palm-lined promenade, which gives way to an endless stretch of pearly white shore. The sand slopes gently into waters calm enough to suit even tiny swimmers, and there’s a great range of watersports on offer.
Easy-access nightlife
As Ca’n Picafort is so compact, you won’t have to put in a lot of legwork to get around. The main strip is Paseo Colon – a long parade of shops, restaurants and bars that leads down to the harbour, where you can have your pick of the seafood restaurants. And down by the beach, there’s a choice of well-established pubs, bars and discos.
Close to Alcudia
Drive just 20 minutes north and you’ll reach Alcudia. The coastal resort comes with a swish marina that’s perfect for a classy lunch. Around three kilometres inland, there’s the old walled town. Here, you can wander through the Medieval-style narrow streets to the impressive St Jaume Church. And close by is Pollentia, where the excavations and amphitheatre showcase Alcudia’s ancient Roman past.
