This hotel keeps things cosy with a beach on standby and a bar that’s great for being sociable.
There’s a terrace for sunbathing and an indoor pool. On the food front, the buffet restaurant covers breakfast and dinner and the café takes care of snacks. The bar is a good place for getting to know other guests.
The hotel doesn’t have an outdoor pool – instead you’ve got the sea just across the road, with a sandy beach attached. A 20-minute walk along the promenade takes you to C’an Picafort’s shops, bars and restaurants.

just got back from another holiday at the hotel bonsai,18 years on the trot, some times twice a year, june and September, and for the 18th year the food is still very good,as the chef is excellent at what he does, there is at least 14 couples that are there each year and they all agree with my self and my husband, hotel is spotless, rooms are done every day, antonia and maria who do the rooms are also very nice and friendly, and then you have Alison the receptionist who is English and also speaks Spanish, she will help you with any thing if she can, alison is very friendly, and you can have a really good chat with her as well as having a laugh, when you meet her you would think that she is the owner as she does that much for the hotel and for the guest,so what ever you read on here about the food being RANK,take no notice,it may not be every ones taste, but you will always find something to have,hot/coldMore
Not too bad!!
I stayed here with family room was nice!quite nice location mercbeachcand beer reasonably priced! Only thing wasn't too keen on was food!! Breakfast ok but evening meals bit of a let down! To be fair it's a small hotel but I think that a nice evening meal is part of holiday experience so after couple evenings dining there went elsewhere!! Some really nice restaurants nearby on the walk on seafront!! If I knew before wouldn't bother with evening meal at all!! I wouldn't return but it was just ok!! More
This was supposed to be an award winning Thomson "Small and Friendly". Small? Yes. Friendly, Absolutely not! It seems I arrived the same week as the 14 couples who all knew each other. I was completely ignored most of the time. The receptionist never said "Welcome" when I arrived, just plonked the key on the counter along with a Burger King flyer! The lounge (where Wifi worked) was usually completely empty apart from a large TV blaring away with a football channel. At 9.30 prompt every evening the air con was turned off, and with temperatures hovering around 30 degrees during the day, it was still needed then, especially as the lounge is partly underground and humid. The rooms were clean and beds changed regularly, but the beds were almost solid, so uncomfortable. In fact the first time I sat on one I nearly asked to be changed to another hotel. I have an arthritic shoulder and like a much softer bed. The air con worked well in my room (but not in others), there was always hot water but the shower head was a joke. Tiny and couldn't be persuaded to point in my direction! The food was fine, some was delicious. As for the "sun terrace" it's overlooked by tall buildings on all sides. The traffic noise on the balcony made it unusable, and the Crazy Horse English Pub opposite me ensured no sleep until they closed. How this can be permitted to make so much noise is unbelievable. I enjoyed long walks along the promenade, coach trips, bus rides - the hotel is right next to the bus stops. On the very last day, I was told by two other guests at a bus stop that they'd been up to the "sister" hotel every day, for a swim in their outdoor pool, they'd enjoyed the evening entertainment etc. etc. What sister hotel? I asked. I'd been there for 13 days and no one had mentioned it. There's no information folder in the room and Thomson's rep never visited - we ad a leaflet saying to ring the Holiday Line but that meant incurring extra charges. On the subject of extra charges, it was almost 40 Euros each a fortnight to hire a fridge and a safe. Best tip - take your kettle, none provided here. Go out the front door, turn left, and the supermarket 100 yards up the road sells fresh milk, not UHT. Even better tip. Don't stay here.More

nice small hotel
This is a small hotel about 26 rooms .The hotel is kept very clean and the staff on reception very helpfull and freindly. There is an indoor pool and sauna but pool is very cold. The bar area is lovely and drink prices very reasonable and there pizas very nice. The restaurant is small but very nice. For dinner there is a choice of 3 main meals (one being fish) but cooked very nice by the chef. Each night there was eather beef chicken pork lamb all cooked so tender. There was a soup or salad starters and jelly ice cream, cakes and fruit for desert.Breakfast was english cooked or continental and cerials fruit and yogarts. Now the rooms, they were a good size with plenty of cupboard space and tv with english channels (horay). The bathroom was good and had a hairdryer in there for use. There was no tea or coffe in rooms but if you take your own and ask reception for a kettle they will lend you one free of charge. Most of the people in the hotel were over the age of 55 so would not recomend to young famileys or teenagers. Now going out for a drink there is the crazey horse opposite very good and cheap drinks also quize and karoke every night.Just down the road about 500 yards there is scandles bar that has live music outside the front at 9pm about twice a week.good food and cheap drinks. If you walk 25 minutes down to can pickafort ther is a great music ber along the sea front a little way past the regga bar and its called BAR CHOCALATE this has top music and the staff a funny and great, and get up and sing songs to.Drinks a little dearer but well worth it.More
