Relaxing, but ....
We love the layout of this hotel and have just been for our fifth stay. The staff were lovely as always, the rooms spotless, and the pool and garden area fabulous. We did enjoy our holiday but, sadly, we have to say that we were a little bit disappointed with the food on this visit. Breakfasts were good, especially Victoria's egg station. We were all inclusive but mostly ate our lunches at the poolside snack area rather than the restaurant and these were fine too. The evening meals were ok and you could always choose something you liked but you weren't spoilt for choice if that makes sense. We will probably go again but hope the management team will listen to this concern. Also, the rooms are being refurbished on a rolling programme but some of the towels, bedding, curtains, etc in the rooms waiting to be done are really showing their age and this needs attention sooner rather than later.More
Booked late so was not expecting much. However were pleasantly surprised on arrival. Nice large clean reception with friendly helpful staff. Room had been refurbished recently and was in good order. Bathroom had a large walk in shower and fittings were high quality. Only minor issue was towels were missing but were bought I quickly when pointed out. Food was fine and all the staff made a great effort to make us feel wanted and valued. Entertainment was also good considering this was the last week before winter closure. We are so pleased with this we are looking to return next year.More

Good hotel but.......
Just re-read my review from may 2016, to see if things have changed, well firstly the hotel is still very clean, reception staff very helpful and all staff friendly, but unfortunately the food is no where near as good as last year, and if people are saying well it's getting towards the end of season then it should be reflected in the price and believe me it wasnt, Weve renamed the hotel to PICAPORK PARK , we seemed to live on pork for the two weeks, and i have never seen pork cut so thin in my life!! The first Monday we were there it was roast beef and Yorkshire puds lovely, gala night was on the first Friday, had prawns on and beef Wellington that was the only night in two weeks we had prawns, didnt even have a gala night the second week, very poor on the meats, saw very little smoked salmon. Had sirloin steak once a week, tried it the 1st week, but was jelly in the middle tried it again 2nd week was the same, sorry but never had that before with sirloin steak, had bbq ribs about 3 times chicken wings, rubbish, loads and loads of veg. Not quite what we were expecting. Very poor selection of cheeses and hams in the morning, only ever one ham and that was sometimes salami or spam, at lunch plenty of salads but no tuna or again meats to have with it , thats what i mean by cutting down, very disappointed. Yes I suppose the rooms do need updating, some have been done I believe but they were very clean, and wasn' t really a problem to us, plenty of hanging space for clothes. No little extras in room like shower caps or toothbrushes no tissues, I always take my own toiletries but I would of thought a 4* gold hotel would of had these items, towels are a joke small and thin, need binning. Lifts now in all blocks which is great, plenty of sunloungers round the pool and on the grass but stlll people up at 6am putting towels on beds. We were in G block at the back and you get the sun all afternoon, we were in this block last time, it was so peaceful we asked for it this time, unfortunately people had brought sunbeds round the back and were literally right under our balcony, or should I say in front of it as we were on the ground floor, just lost all our privacy this should be stopped, plenty of space for sunbeds on the massive grass area near the pool, no need to be so near to people's rooms. No music round the pool last year, heaven, not this year, we got music, not loud but young girls think everyone likes music while there relaxing, sorry but not everybody does.. Minor points I suppose, but it's the difference between going back and not going again, and we've decided if their cutting down on the food then we won't go back again, we were going to go back next year for my husband's birthday but looking for somewhere else now Entertainment was really good, got a great team of entertainers that put shows on 2 guys and two girls and although musicals are fine pllleeeeaaaassssseee not so many in your gold hotels, depressing sonetimes, we are on holiday after all, don't mind a few but not all night. Thomson reps all good and Thomson entertainment girls great. Transfer time can take anything to two hours as this hotel is often last drop off, and many were complaining that they were on the coach longer than the plane. This is a lovely hotel but if they going to be cutting down I certainly won't be going back, not at the prices they charge anyway. Porter takes your luggage to your room, very helpful reception staff. Free fridge in room, but have to pay for safe.More
Could Have Been Excellent, Shame About The Food !!
The Hotel is a Multiple Low Rise Apartment Block Complex, set in lovely surroundings which as the hotel name suggests may have been a park prior to the hotel development. The rooms are spacious and clean, the staff are charming, the Reception, Bar and Management staff are very efficient and helpful, however, the food was at best bland and uninteresting, very little choice, which may be due to the fact that the hotel is about to close down for the season, but that really should be no excuse for the poor quality of food served. I think we would consider returning to the hotel, as to give the hotel the benefit of the doubt, we may have just been unfortunate, being there as they are about to close for the season. The hotel management would have worked hard to attract Thomson's Gold, but I would urge them to take a very close look, at what is clearly the Achilles Heel of this hotel, or they could lose it, as fast as they gained it !!More

Good Hotel but evening meal dissappointing
The hotel was lovely, very spacious with plenty of sun beds round the large swimming pool and grounds. The pool was freezing so nobody did the aquafit that was on offer. The pool bar was excellent with lovely food cooked to order and excellent service. The breakfast was good but the evening meal left a bit to be desired, the meat was a poor quality and sometimes not cooked properly. the service in the restaurant was good with the tables cleared quickly. The early breakfast was appreciated on the last day. The rooms were nice, plenty of wardrobe space, tea & coffee making facilities , a tv with lots of English channels and a fridge. We had one of the upgraded rooms with a walk in shower which was lovely. The hotel is in a mainly residential area and there were no shops in the immediate vicinity. The sea was only about 500 yards down the road, but you had to walk further either left or right for a beach. If you're looking for a quiet peaceful holiday then this would suit you well. The big problem with coming to this hotel was the transfer from the airport it was far too long, speaking to other couples we did quite well we only had to wait on the coach at the airport about 30 minutes before we started out journey , others had to wait 1.5 to 2 hours before they left the airport then the transfer to Can Picafort was about 35 minutes but we were about the last drop off and were on the coach another hour. This would definitely put us off returningMore
