Best time to go to Olbia Area

Olbia’s middle-of-the-Mediterranean location means summer days are long, hot and sunny. Temperatures can reach highs of 30 and 31°C in July and August – perfect for days on the beach. At this time of year, it’s also warm in the evenings, at around 20°C. If exploring towns and Nuraghe ruins is what you’re after, it’s worth considering going in May, June or September as it’s a bit cooler during these shoulder months.

Health & Safety

You should take out comprehensive travel and medical insurance to cover you while you’re away. If you’re travelling to the EU and you apply for a card now, you'll get a new UK Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC) instead of an EHIC. This entitles you to emergency medical treatment on the same terms as Italian nationals. It won’t, however, cover you for medical repatriation, ongoing medical treatment or non-urgent treatment.
