Holidays to Baia Sardinia deliver dove-coloured beaches, picture-perfect scenery and daytrips to celeb haunt Porto Cervo.

Spotlight on the shore

The Emerald Coast is Sardinia’s crowning glory, and that’s exactly where you’ll find the lively town of Baia Sardinia. Thanks to its trademark white sands and translucent waters, it’s established itself as a popular holiday spot for beach lovers. And it’s just 10 minutes’ north of upmarket Porto Cervo.

Caribbean-style sands

Baia Sardinia’s beach is a winner, so it’s hardly surprising that most of the town is focused on it. It’s a bone-white stretch, sandwiched by green-smothered cliffs on either side. Its bay waters are perfect for windsurfing, sailing and scuba diving. The town’s square – a short stroll from the waterfront – has a quiet buzz, with restaurants, bars and shops on hand.

Unspoilt islands

From the beach, you can see the La Maddalena Archipelago National Park on the horizon. It’s made up of a group of barely-inhabited islands – all protected under its geomarine park status. You’re in a good spot to take a boat ride over to them, where the scenery gets even better up close. Don’t miss the footprint-free Spiaggia Rosa Beach. As its name suggests, it’s pink in colour, which is down to pieces of coral and shells sprinkled among the sand.
