Are there any restrictions on smoking or vaping at my hotel?

Many countries – including the United Kingdom and Ireland – have laws that restrict smoking, particularly in indoor public places. In many destinations, these rules also apply to some outdoor public areas, such as beaches or public spaces.

Smoking is often not allowed in places like indoor workplaces, restaurants, bars and cafés, on public transport and in healthcare facilities. In some countries, vaping and e-cigarettes are covered by the same laws as smoking or are restricted in similar places. Rules can vary by country - and sometimes by location - so it’s worth checking local guidance if this is important to you.

Many hotels operate a non-smoking policy indoors. Guest rooms are usually smoke-free, with designated smoking or vaping areas available outside.
