Can I add extra luggage to my booking?

If you’re travelling on a TUI Airways flight with a TOM or BY flight number you have the chance to add extra baggage at the time of booking, after booking or at the airport.

Adding baggage during the booking process:
- For package holiday bookings – you have the option to increase your allowance
- For flight only bookings – you can add luggage to your booking

After booking and before departure:
        - For package holiday bookings – you can do so via Manage my booking or as you check in online. Once you’ve checked in you can't make any changes to your luggage allowance online. You'll need to contact us on 0203 451 2688 to do this.
        - If you’re flying with TUI Airways on a flight only booking, a Ski holiday, Marella Cruise, River Cruise or Multi-centre holiday you can do this via Flight extras or as you check in online.

Once you’ve checked in you can't make any changes to your luggage allowance online. You'll need to contact us on 0203 451 2688 to do this.

At the airport - if you wait until airport check-in to add extra luggage, you’ll be charged excess luggage rates as listed below

For package bookings that include a checked-in luggage allowance and for flight only bookings that have already added a checked-in allowance:
  - Short and mid haul flights (less than seven hours) - £14 per each additional kilo
- Long haul (over seven hours): - £18 per each additional kg
    -Flight only bookings (who have not added a checked-in luggage allowance):
- Short and mid-haul flights (less than seven hours): £55 per 15kg bag* and £14 per each additional kilo.
- Long-haul flights (over seven hours): £75 per 15kg bag* and £18 per each additional kilo.

* Only one bag per customer can be added.

No bag will be accepted that weighs more than 25kg

Charges may vary depending on the season you're travelling in.

If you’re not flying with TUI Airways, you’ll need to check with your airline on excess luggage charges.
Just so you know, TUI Airways flights have a flight number that starts with TOM, BY or OR.
