How much duty-free shopping can I bring into Mexico?

What you can bring into Mexico duty-free

If you're 18 or older, you can bring these items into Mexico without paying duty:

  • Up to 200 cigarettes, 25 cigars or 200 grams of tobacco
  • Maximum 3 litres of alcohol

These limits apply per person, so make sure you stay within your individual allowance.

Important: If you bring more than these amounts, you'll need to pay a fine. You can't simply throw away the extra items at customs.
