Most people visit Luxembourg City in the summer, when temperatures are at their highest. From late June until early September you can expect the mercury to hover somewhere in the low to mid 20s. Come January, it drops down to freezing – so you’ll want to wrap up warm if you’re visiting then. You can expect to see some snow in the winter months, too, and sharp showers are common all year round.
British citizens don’t need a visa to enter Luxembourg but must have a valid passport. You can check your passport’s valid for Luxembourg using our handy tool. For the most up-to-date passport and visa info, visit www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/luxembourg/entry-requirements.
Don't forget to arrange your travel money and insurance before you go.
You should take out comprehensive travel and medical insurance to cover you while you’re away. For the latest health and safety information, visit www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/luxembourg/health
