Best hotels in Las Vegas

Check in to one of these larger-than-life resort hotels for an unforgettable stay in the USA.
When it comes to amazing hotels, Las Vegas has scooped more than its fair share. Just like the city itself, the hotels in this buzzing metropolis take a go-big-or-go-home approach. And when we say big, we really mean it.

Sprawling city pads with casinos, botanical gardens, vast pool collections and even bigger dining scenes are par for the course on The Strip – the city’s glitzy entertainment hub. And there’s more of the same in downtown Las Vegas, the city’s historic and cultural heart.

Not sure where to start? We’ve picked out five of the best hotels in Vegas to whet your appetite. Get ready to go big…

Bellagio Hotel & Casino

Overlooking the famous Bellagio Fountains, this huge hotel is impossible to miss – particularly at night, when the musical fountains and hotel façade light up. Highlights here – and there are plenty – include a casino, botanical gardens and five outdoor pools. And no less than 15 restaurants compete for your attention, from French fine dining at Le Cirque to dreamy desserts at Bellagio Patisserie.

Location-wise, the hotel’s central spot in the heart of The Strip makes it easy to get out and explore on foot. There's a complimentary tram that runs to resorts like Park MGM and Aria, and Harry Reid International Airport is only a 10-minute drive away.

The Palazzo at The Venetian®

Another hotel on The Strip that takes the bigger-is-better approach, The Palazzo at The Venetian® is one of the largest hotel complexes in the world. It’s effectively two hotels combined – the Palazzo shares its facilities with its sister hotel, The Venetian.

In terms of entertainment that means you’ve got a theatre, a nightclub, and more than 40 restaurants to pick from. Sit down to steak at CUT, people-watch from the strip-side terrace at Lavo, or pick up something light from the poolside restaurant and bar. Speaking of pools, there are 10 altogether, including four infinity numbers on the Venetian pool deck.

Paris Las Vegas

On the other side of The Strip to the Bellagio Fountains, Paris Las Vegas is another hotel you simply can’t miss – mostly because it’s got a half-sized Eiffel Tower out front. Take the glass lift up to the viewing deck at night and soak up the neon-lit Vegas views.

Inside the hotel you’ll find everything from a rooftop nightclub to a full-size casino and even a replica Parisian street complete with bars and shops. The two-acre rooftop pool is another big talking point – it’s wrapped in gardens dotted with cabanas and daybeds, with a backdrop of Eiffel Tower views. Only in Vegas…

MGM Grand

Grand by name, grand by nature, MGM Grand takes the crown as the biggest hotel on The Strip – which is really saying something in Vegas. It’s best known for its Wet Republic pool parties hosted by big-name DJs, and its nightclub – Hakkasan – which spills across five floors and clocks up an indoor garden and restaurant.

Food-wise, there are more than 15 restaurants here and that includes everything from Michelin-starred French cuisine to pub-style food and big buffet spreads. And of course, the pool scene is as oversized as you’d hope – notching up no less than 6.5 acres of space dedicated to pools, waterfalls and sunbathing space.

Golden Nugget Hotel

Prefer to base yourself in downtown Las Vegas? Put the Golden Nugget Hotel on your list. It’s home to the Hand of Faith – the biggest golden nugget ever found by a metal detector, hence the name. And that’s not the only thing worth shouting about.

One of the most out-there features is the super-sized, shark-filled aquarium by the main pool – you can shoot through the centre in a glass waterslide. There’s a massive aquarium built into the wall of the hotel’s seafood restaurant, too, plus eight more restaurants to visit, including a Mexican cantina. Heading out? The Fremont Street Experience is just around the corner, and it’s one of those Vegas essentials you won’t want to miss. Walk or zipline your way along downtown’s version of The Strip and marvel at nightly light shows above you on a huge arched screen.
