    This peaceful place nestles up to a hillside. Its green gardens surround buildings in pastel shades of pink, yellow and orange.

    Just to let you know this hotel is set on a hillside location and for this reason this hotel may not be well suited if you have walking difficulties.

    Stopped here earlier in the year...3rd time in Skala...the rooms are a little dated but are very clean and everything worked as it should! Pool was brilliant and kept clean and the pool bar was good as well! The staff we dealt with were all very friendly and very helpful! We enjoyed our stay so much that we are returning next May plus another 4 of us! Already looking forward to it. We flew from Doncaster (England) with TUI and yet again the service was spot on!

    We recently spent 2 weeks here, as a base for a relaxing sun/beach holiday. The studios are really well placed, excellent location to be quiet but also only a short walk into the centre of the village with numerous bars and restaurants, and the long stretch of Skala’s pebbly beach. (Tip: a half hour walk in the opposite direction will get you to the lovely sandy beach at Mounda!) The accommodation was very reasonably priced and the room has a small kitchenette which would be useful for anyone wanting to eat in. There was a decent sized pool and plenty of sun loungers, even if you were not up early. We stayed in room 2 in the first block near reception. Ground level with a nice terrace. We didn’t view any other rooms, so I cannot speak for the whole studio site. We had maid service every day, with sheets and towels changed every 3/4 days. We found the standard of cleanliness in the room not particularly high. I placed my wash bag on the small ledge in the bathroom when we arrived and it promptly stuck to it - so not sure what was on the shelf! Also unsure whether floors or surfaces were cleaned during our stay. I found I needed to wear my flipflops in the room to keep my feet clean. We fitted the shower curtain properly ourselves to prevent the bathroom floor from getting too wet during showers. Probably could try a lot harder with this. I don’t spend much time in hotel rooms when I am on holiday, but, if I did, I’d probably have had a problem spending long in this one.

    Just got back from a week here, having got a Tui deal on this 2 star accommodation was worth every penny. The swimming pool area, bar and grounds were outstanding and the people that work here are so friendly. The location is also perfect with a short stroll to the centre of Scala where there are loads of restaurants. As with other reviews there is a problem with some of the rooms and we were put in room 14 which is very small with hardly any balcony and smelly bathroom !! How ever we asked if we could be moved which they done 2 days later when were put in room 34 which is much larger with a great balcony 😊. I would definitely consider going back if I could request what room to have.

    Small & Friendly As TUI advertise it is a Small & Friendly hotel. Small hotel friendly British guests .(all British at this hotel ) Self catering facilities not very good if you plan on eating in . Only fridge.small two hot plate and a kettle. NO oven No toaster or micro wave not even tea towel or washing up liquid provided. Basic kitchenware. Mini market a good 10/15 min walk into the village. Room 5 three hard beds .small balcony but room a reasonable size. NO TV. NO fan but A/C at 7Euros /day. Rooms kept clean. Towels changed and beds made every day. Pool area small and only half the sun beds get the sun during the day so a bit of moving about required mid day. The pool is gated so not opened until 9AM . No towels put out during the night. The hotel is on a hill so there are lots of stairs ramps and inclines.NOT recommended if you have any walking issues. Cats have a free run of the site. We did have a good time but may not come back.

    In defence of room 54, we were in this room for a week (5th-12th September). When we booked we knew there was a chance that we would have some steps / slope to get up there. We would have preferred a lower room however you pay for what you get. It was immaculate, clean, great views, and very quiet. The cooking facilities were a standard Greek fair. Who on Earth cooks in the boiling hot sun when there are fabulous restaurants in Skala. As for the hotel, lovely, friendly, quiet, beautiful landscaping, and perfect location, far enough away for peace and quiet, and yet only a 10 minute walk to lovely restaurants. Our favourites were the The Old Village and The Galera. And the music bar was fantastic! Tui rep Lauren was lovely and we booked the VIP Cruise where we had a boat with 1 other couple and was one of the best trips we’ve ever had. The pool was perfect and the lunchtime food was nice, as was the Mythos! If you want to come here to cook, and not spend any money helping the local economy, don’t come here. We’ve been to Greece over 20 times, our first time on Kefalonia, and up with Thassos, this is one of our favourite places.
