What's included in an All Inclusive package holiday?

Every getaway includes flights, luggage, transfers and a hotel stay, plus meals, snacks and local drinks. And that’s just the starting point. Depending on your hotel, kids’ clubs, daily entertainment, sports and activities can be part of the package, too. Some even throw à la carte dining and unlimited waterpark access into the mix. Our advice? Check the hotel page before you book – you might be surprised at how much is included.

Some hotels dial things up even further. At TUI MAGIC LIFE clubs, food and drinks are available 24/7, while the A-Z activity programme keeps things going from morning until night. Take TUI MAGIC LIFE Kalawy on Egypt’s Red Sea coast. You can snorkel around coral reefs just offshore, get stuck into everything from tennis and volleyball to stand-up paddleboarding, or cool off in one of the pools. And with food and drinks available around the clock, you’ll never be far from a refuel. Three meals a day? That’s barely scratching the surface.

Is going All Inclusive cheaper?

It certainly can be, especially if you’re travelling as a family or heading somewhere where meals and drinks out can quickly add up. With most of your food, snacks and drinks already wrapped into the price, there are fewer costs to think about once you arrive. But the real win is how that feels on holiday. Spotted something else at the buffet? Add it to your plate. Another poolside drink? Absolutely. Afternoon ice cream? Also absolutely.

When's the cheapest month to go?

September and October are often among the cheapest months to go All Inclusive. The summer rush has eased, demand tends to dip and plenty of Mediterranean hot spots like Turkey and Cyprus are still warm enough for beach and pool days. You can also find good-value deals further afield as tropical destinations like Mexico and the Dominican Republic enter quieter periods.

January is worth watching, too. After the Christmas rush, lower prices can make it a great time to swap grey skies for winter sun in places like the Canary Islands. November can be another sweet spot, falling between the autumn and festive rushes.

What should I pack for an All Inclusive holiday?

Packing for an All Inclusive holiday is pretty straightforward. Once the swimwear, sun cream and sunglasses are sorted, think about how you’ll spend your days. Comfy shoes and a small bag will come in handy for exploring, while something smart-casual has you covered for speciality restaurants with dress codes. And if there’s a reef or snorkelling spot nearby, it might be worth making room for your mask and snorkel. Luckily, if you’re flying with TUI Airways, your package includes 20kg of luggage as standard – win, win.

How do I make the most of an All Inclusive holiday?

A little holiday homework can pay off. Check the entertainment programme when you arrive, book any speciality restaurants early and see what activities are included – you could have everything from fitness classes to watersports waiting for you. And while there’s plenty to keep you busy at the hotel, make time to explore beyond it, too. You can always head back when the buffet starts calling.
