Planning a party holiday this summer? Here’s everything you need to know about clubbing in one of Greece’s liveliest party destinations, Laganas.

So, you’re planning a party holiday this summer, but you’re stuck on where to go clubbing. Let Laganas come to the rescue. This small-yet-lively town on the Greek island of Zante is shaping up to be one of the hottest destinations for party hols again this summer. But, before you get the group chat involved, give us five to tell you everything you need to know. We’ve rounded up all the important info, including the best bars – ofc – top beaches and things to do. So, let’s get into it…

Once you’ve had a read, take a look at our Laganas nightlife deals.

Introducing Laganas

Laganas started out as a tiny fishing village, which is hard to believe when you see how lively it is now. The town’s mile-long strip lines up around 50 bars and clubs and plenty of places to grab a bite before or after a big night out. Cheesy chips, anyone?

Nightlife isn’t the only thing Laganas is famous for though – the town’s beach is the place where the island’s resident loggerhead turtles lay their eggs. If you’re around at the end of July, you might even get to see them hatching. Well worth pressing pause on the party for if you ask us.

Lively nights out

The beauty of a big night out in Laganas is that everything’s along one easy-to-navigate strip. A dream come true if one of your mates is one of those who does a disappearing act for a few hours on every night out. Ikon sits at the far end of the strip, and needs to be on the agenda at least once during your getaway – it sorts out a top line-up of DJs every year, including the likes of Tom Zanetti and Joel Corry. Cocktails & Dreams is another stop you need to make as you’re working your way down the strip – things go off seven nights a week here and the cocktails are unreal. No surprises there.

Beaches for days

Laganas has got plenty going on in the beach department. The town’s beach is often rated as one of the island’s best stretches, with a long sweep of soft white sand stretching all the way to the towns on either side of Laganas – Kalamaki to the east and Agios Sostis to the west. Because the beach is a turtle nesting site, you won’t find any watersports along this stretch. Pedalos and paddleboards are within easy reach, though – Kalamaki’s got the goods and it’s only a 30-minute walk away along the seafront.
