Best time to go to El Cuyo
Mexico’s weather is reflective of its Caribbean address. In summer, the mercury flits between the high-20s and the mid-30s, and even in the winter months you can expect temperatures to top 28°C. There’s a little more rain in the summer months, between June and October, but it’s usually just an hour or two in the evening – the rest of the time it’s blue skies and sunshine. Mexico does see the occasional hurricane between July and October, but they’re pretty rare, and hotels are well prepared if a storm does occur. Mexico experiences high levels of humidity throughout the year, with June to August being especially high. We would advise you to leave windows and balcony doors closed as much as possible to make the most of the air-con and reduce humidity levels hotel rooms. And while we’re on the subject of hotels, you may find that some facilities, such as restaurants and bars, aren’t available from late April to May and from mid-August to mid-November, but there’ll be enough open so you can still enjoy your stay.
