Torremolinos
Torremolinos is the oldest Costa del Sol beach resort, so it’s had over 50 years to perfect its holiday offering. Expect pristine sandy beaches well-stocked with sunloungers, watersports and cafés. Fancy a change of scene? Explore the high street, Calle San Miguel. It’s mostly a car-free zone, so it’s easy to zigzag your way between globetrotting restaurants, Spanish bodegas, clothes and jewellery shops, and souvenir stalls.
The Costa del Sol
Torremolinos is the gateway to some of the top beach resorts in the Costa del Sol. To the west, the town runs straight into the lively bars and pretty old town of Benalmadena.
After that, you’ve got Fuengirola. This beach resort goes down well with Spanish families, so it’s a more laid-back spot.
