With 300 days of sunshine a year, Blue Flag sands and child-friendly resorts, it’s easy to see why families love Portugal.
Waterparks in the Algarve
Wherever you go in the Algarve, you’re never for from a beach or waterpark. In fact, there are four waterparks to get around. Aqualand, Aquashow and Slide and Splash all offer speedy chutes like kamikaze slides and Black Holes. Little kids might prefer Atlantic Park, which serves up smaller, gentler rides.
Madeira and Porto Santo Island
One of the best family theme parks is on the Portuguese island of Madeira. There are replica villages, a water mill and an auditorium that reels off the history of Madeira. Plus, a whole area is dedicated to rope swings, climbing walls and zip lines. If a tourist-free holiday is more your cup of tea, head for the little island of Porto Santo. It lines up a sweep of secret sandy beaches and friendly, family-run hotels.
A choice of villas and hotels
We offer the whole spectrum of family-friendly accommodation. Places like the Robinson Club Quinta Da Ria hotel dish up non-stop activities, while our spacious villas leave plenty of elbow room for everyone.
