Best hotels in Benidorm

Whether you’re looking for a luxury hotel, beachside apartment or budget base in Benidorm, this slice of Spain’s Costa Blanca has a hotel for you.
It’s no surprise that hotels in Benidorm tend to be introduced by their proximity to the coast – this area of Spain’s Costa Blanca is all geared up for lively holidays, with miles of sand backed by a bar and restaurant-packed prom. Party playground Calle Gerona – AKA The Strip – is the buzziest bit and runs parallel to Levante Beach, a few blocks behind it.

But beyond the beach and neon lights, you’ll also find quieter pockets in this Spanish resort – from the cobbled Old Town to the leafy Terra Natura wildlife park. We’ve picked out some of the best hotels in Benidorm, whether it’s clubs, coast, or calm you’re after. The good news? Most of them tick off all three.

When you’re ready, check out all our Benidorm holidays.

Hotel Flamingo Oasis

This All Inclusive hotel has a great location – it’s set slightly back from Benidorm’s town centre, so it’s a bit quieter than some of the front-row hotels. But it’s still only a 15-minute walk from the main strip of bars and restaurants and sandy Levante Beach. Or, about the same time walking in the other direction gets you to Aqualandia – a huge waterpark that’s open in the summer months. There’s also a bus stop near the hotel if you want to explore a bit further.

As for facilities, there’s plenty here to keep you busy. That includes a roomy lagoon pool, a kids’ club and playground, and an open-air entertainment area where you can watch shows in the evenings. Meals are served up in the buffet restaurant and there are a couple of bars open at different times of the year, including an adults-only piano bar and an essential snack bar by the pool.

Port Benidorm

Prefer to be in the heart of everything? Try Port Benidorm – it’s got plenty of bars and restaurants practically next door on the same street, and it’s a matter of minutes away from one end of sandy Levante Beach. You can walk from here all the way along the beachfront prom to the Old Town and next-door Poniente Beach.

As for the hotel itself, it’s a sleek affair with modern rooms, a light an airy buffet restaurant and a good-looking pool with a bar that’s open in the summer months. Depending on when you plan to visit there are other seasonal highlights, too, like dedicated entertainment for kids in the school holidays.

Barcelo Benidorm Beach

At the other end of Levante Beach, Barcelo Benidorm Beach puts you a stone’s throw from Benidorm’s Old Town – a pretty mix of cobbled streets, whitewashed buildings and traditional tapas bars that feels a world away from Benidorm’s strip. That said, it’s still only minutes from all the buzzy bars and clubs Benidorm’s famous for, so you get the best of both in one location.

The beach is on the hotel’s doorstep, which means sea views from the terraced tapas restaurant as well as from the chic rooftop pool. And if you’re partial to a game of golf, it’s worth knowing this place is only a 20-minute drive from Las Rejas Golf Club – one of Benidorm’s best courses.

Magic Natura – Animal, Waterpark & Polynesian Lodge Resort

As the name suggests, Magic Natura – Animal, Waterpark & Polynesian Lodge Resort is not your average hotel. It’s in Benidorm’s Terra Natura wildlife park, right next to Aqua Natura waterpark. That means you can do everything from watching elephants being fed to racing your way down slides and chutes. You can even pay extra to take evening safari trips for a night out in Benidorm that’s about as far from thumping clubs as you can get.

The hotel itself reels off some impressive features, from three pools including an infinity number, to two buffet restaurants and three à la cartes. Factor in no less than seven bars and an entertainment line-up with mini-discos for kids and music shows for adults and you’ve got everything you need in one place.

Hotel Don Pancho

If an adults-focused hotel is on your wishlist, the Hotel Don Pancho is a worthy contender. It’s a couple of minutes’ walk from Levante Beach, with plenty of bars and restaurants on the doorstep and even more on the main strip. And it lines up a lively entertainment programme after dark in the aptly-named Dancing Lounge Bar, with everything from Flamenco shows to tribute acts on the cards.

The hotel itself is sleek and modern, with smart rooms that all face the sea – and come with a balcony to make the most of the outlook. And there’s an all-important pool that’s neatly framed by a stylish decked terrace and matched by a pool bar in the summer.
