About the villa

The lovely stone-built Villa Sa Ca Nova has been decorated in traditional Menorcan style, with whitewashed walls, terracotta-tiled floors and beamed ceilings. The villa is in a peaceful location at the end of a quiet lane. You can enjoy the tranquility in the pretty gardens or on the pool terrace.

The small, private pool is a good-looking thing with a mosaic trim and Roman steps that sink into the water. It’s surrounded by a large stone terrace with sunloungers and parasols. The white-sand beach at Cala’n Blanes is about ten minutes away by car, as is the lively seaside town of Cala’n Forcat.

The kitchen is smart and well-equipped, with an oven, hob, microwave and fridge. Doors from here lead outside to a shaded terrace area with a table and chairs for al fresco dining. A barbecue is provided for guests – you’ll find it on the barbecue terrace. Alternatively, take a picnic in the garden, where there’s a vegetable patch and plenty of shade-giving trees.

Don’t book this place, where do I start, flys flys & more flys, no air con or fans in rooms making it uncomfortable for sleep as so hot, 3 people stopping in villa & not enough hot water to all have a shower, absolutely in middle of nowhere, even transport from airport didn’t know where this place was neither did taxi drivers, rubbish bins a good ten min walk away over other side of roundabout, once in town there was hardly anything there, restaurants were good and that’s the only good review I could give for this holiday, very very disappointed and total waste of money.

A lovely Villa for a good family holiday

The Villa is about a 45 minutes drive from the airport. Situated near Lidl (2 minutes drive) which is handy having kids who want pastries every day. The Villa contains air conditioning, WiFi, washing machine and all the other amenities that you require for your family. Parking your hire car inside the grounds is easily enough and there is sufficient space to turn your car around. The pool is a reasonable size for your family to swim and play in. The outside area for your family bbq is a very good size and contains a dining table with chairs. The garden furniture outside is a wonderful place to kick-back and relax in the sunshine or shade depending on what your preference is. Whilst at the Villa you will be visited by the rep to collect your touring tax which is about £2 per day per adult. The company will require your home address and passport details for proof of identification. I recommend a visit to this charming Villa for a lovely, family holiday.

Charming and rustic

A charming and rustic villa in a peaceful rural location, well equipped with good size pool and private garden. Only 15 mins walk to centre of Cuitadella, a lovely town, 5 mins drive from several supermarkets. If you want 5* luxury this is not the place for you. If you want peace and quiet in a typically Spanish house give it a try. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

The dead wasps in the pool & horrible flys & ants in the villa.We're not the worse pest.At 9.30am in the first week the owner burst in.My wife was sitting in her under clothes. When I came out the man was standing staring at my wife.I said what the ...Then they both started cutting grass & water.They left after about an hour. In the second week.They burst in again this time the woman was staring in the villa window.To end it we got a phone call from TUI. Saying we had to been out the villa on our leaving day at 9.00am .Or the owners will phone the police. My wife & l are both disabled. We paid £3300.for this holiday. What a pure waste of money.

Previous reviews describe the villa extremely accurately. Here’s some practical info. The villa is situated nowhere near where TUI indicates in its description. A car is essential, but you can walk it into the centre of Ciutadella within 20 mins. You could also walk to Lidl’s in about 15 mins. Essential for supply’s & by far the cheapest place to shop. The villa is large enough for 4, plenty of outside space, with 3 separate seating areas. The pool is of a size where you can actually have a decent swim. The electric gate is broke, so is opened by hand. Not an issue, but just a warning regarding security. We had a couple of power cuts. The fuse box next to the front door tripped - easy to reset. No Wi-fi? Obviously more of a concern for the kids. The TV worked well, but only Sky news & Disney Channels available in English. Just a warning regarding the hot water supply. Don’t let your 16 yr old stand in the shower for 10 mins, as there’ll be none left until it reheats. The Washing machine is archaic. It does a cycle, but refuses to spin at any speed. Air conditioning is great, if a little confusing. Hard to know which setting to use, but we got there eventually. The fly’s weren’t much of a problem. There’s a huge stock of spray under the sink. All in all, a great place to stay.
