Our family breaks to Torremolinos show off one of the most family-friendly beach resorts in Spain.
Spend the day at the beach
The beach in Torremolinos is one of the longest in the Costa del Sol — it stretches out for nine kilometres. Watersports, sunloungers and child-friendly bars are all on call along the main stretch. Head towards Malaga, meanwhile, and the sand starts to peter out into wilder grassy sections that are great for picnics.
Shoot down the slides at Aqualand Torremolinos
Boomerang, multi-racer, Kamikaze, rapids, Black Hole — Aqualand Torremolinos ticks off all the big-name waterslides. There’s a swathe of swimming pools, too, including a wave pool and children’s splash pools.
Check out the crocodiles
The Crocodile Park does exactly what it says on the tin, laying out lakes and palm forests filled with the prehistoric reptiles. Children also get the chance to hold a baby croc and see a feeding demonstration that teaches them the ins and outs of these mysterious beasts.
