Puerto de Soller holidays

Puerto De Soller, Majorca

Holidays to Puerto de Soller take you to a laidback seaside town with beaches, mountains and a cheery nightlife. You're also just 10 minutes' drive away from bustling Soller.

Laid-back and friendly

Puerto de Soller curves around a natural horseshoe-shaped bay on Majorca’s northwest coast. This relaxed place has a great location, nestled at the foot of the Sierra de Tramuntana Mountains and surrounded by orange and lemon groves. Down on the waterfront, there’s a line of bars, cafés and restaurants, and waiting in the wings is an old-fashioned tram to take you to Soller Town and Palma.

A duo of beaches

Puerto de Soller comes with 2 little sandy beaches at either end of the bay – they’re handily joined by a pedestrian walkway so you can stroll easily between the pair. Es Traves is the biggest one, at 800 metres, and tends to be the busiest. It comes with pedalos, snorkelling and diving. Ca’n Repic has a bit of a steep slope down to the sea, though the little patch is less crowded.

Vintage tram rides to Palma

The Orange Express – a 1912 tram with mahogany and brass carriages – will take you through the Tramuntana Mountains and onto Palma in 90 minutes. The capital’s skyline is dominated by the mammoth Majorca Cathedral, while it’s just a 10-minute drive to the 14th-century hillside castle. The chatty flower sellers along La Rambla are famous, as are the fashion boutiques in the La Llonj district.
