There are 12 beaches within easy reach of Protaras. Fig Tree Bay and Vrisi Beach reel in families with their pristine sands and watersports line-up. From there, the coastline is a series of half-moon coves. Sunloungers stripe some, while others are nothing but sand, pine trees and peace and quiet.

The town

Protaras was quite literally made for holidays, so it’s got plenty of hotels, restaurants, bars and souvenir shops to keep you going. Protaras Avenue is the main drag, serving up everything from international eateries to Greek-Cypriot tavernas.
