Canary Islands and the Atlantic

Hop onboard Marella Explorer and say hola to lunar landscapes in the Canary Islands. From November to April, we sail to sunny spots like Gran Canaria, home to golden beaches and cute coastal towns, as well as Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and the biggest Canary Island of them all – Tenerife. Here, you can check out the capital city, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, or visit the highest mountain in Spain – Mount Teide. Plus, some of our Atlantic cruises also take you to Madeira’s capital city, Funchal, where you’ll find black-sand beaches and botanical gardens in full bloom.

The Caribbean

From November to April, you can escape the cold weather on one of our Caribbean cruises from Barbados or the Dominican Republic. It’s all about sugary beaches and clear waters on these itineraries, where you’ll drop anchor in hotspots like St Kitts, St Lucia and Aruba.

Western Mediterranean

Cruises around the western Mediterranean set sail from Palma in Majorca from April to October. It’s a great jumping off point to check out some of Spain, Italy and France’s top towns and cities. One day you could be shopping in France’s St Tropez and the next stepping inside the Sagrada Familia cathedral in Barcelona, Spain. You can sail around Italy, too – some of our itineraries put you within easy reach of Rome, Pompeii and Florence. The best bit? Our Mediterranean sailings often don’t include any days at sea, so you can tick off six destinations on a seven-night cruise.

Eastern Mediterranean

Set sail on an Eastern Mediterranean cruise and drop anchor in places like Greece, Croatia, Cyprus and Turkey. Our ports of call include spots like Piraeus, which puts you a 30-minute drive from Greece’s capital, Athens. The acropolis has to be on the agenda when you’re visiting here – it’s more than 2,000 years old, which is hard to believe when you see how well preserved it is. You can also set sail around the Adriatic Sea to tick off some of Croatia’s top spots, including Split and Zadar, or choose a cruise around the Aegean to visit Greek islands like Santorini, Rhodes and Mykonos.
