If you’re after a trip to tranquillity, this hotel’s your perfect match. The Alila Ubud’s rectangular infinity pool sets you up to immerse yourself in the hotel’s tropical surroundings. Its surface reflects the emerald-green jungle that borders it, and the soundtrack of the wildlife in the trees will have you putting your headphones away. Keep your eyes peeled, and you might even see some monkeys making their way through the treetops.

It sits right on the edge of the sweeping Ayung River Gorge, and blends into its surroundings so well that it’s almost like the rainforest has grown around it.
