Perched right on the seafront in Cyprus’ Protaras, this charming hotel has a little cove right on the doorstep. It’s a perfect spot to dip your toes in for a paddle or test out the gin-clear waters of the Mediterranean with a snorkel. Plus, you’ve got Kalamies Beach around the corner if you’re on the lookout for a bigger sweep of sand.
The hotel flaunts two freshwater pools for a closer-to-home swim. Both come with sea views, sun loungers and parasols, plus there’s a smaller pool for the kids, too. The poolside bar means you can stay refreshed as you kick back with a variety of drinks and snacks.
The dining here is a buffet-affair with a special spot for kid-friendly foods. Daily themed nights will take your taste buds around the world with dishes inspired by places like Italy, Mexico and, of course, Cyprus itself.

This hotel’s nestled on the north-western coast of Greece’s biggest island of Crete, by the bustling town of Platanias. There’s plenty to keep you occupied here, from the Akylas gym with modern and advanced training machines to diving lessons and bike rentals.
It can be hard to decide if you fancy a dip in the sea or the pool when you’re on holiday. But with the outdoor pool just a few feet from the beach, you can get the best of both worlds at this hotel. If you’re a real water baby, you can watch the sunset from a swim-up suite or book a room that has its own private pool.
Evening meals are sorted with a choice between the swanky 35° à la carte restaurant and the main restaurant, Matter. Why not stop by the Naked Star poolside bar for pre-dinner cocktails, too? This is also where you can grab yourself a light lunch during the day.

If you fancy a bit more independence on your holidays, Althea Kalamies Luxury Villas are just the ticket. They sit just a stone’s throw from Kalamies Beach, a postcard-perfect stretch of caramel-coloured sands. Why not take a stroll along the waterfront to the whitewashed St Nicholas Church or kick back on a sun lounger and soak up some rays? You’re just a 10-minute walk away from the town centre, too, where there’s plenty to keep you busy.
Each villa boasts three bedrooms and a private pool for your daily swim. There’s also a fully equipped kitchen for you to rustle up your breakfast, lunch and dinner.
If you don’t feel like cooking, there are a couple of great restaurants just a short walk away. The first is the international buffet restaurant in the Louis Althea Beach Hotel and the second is a traditional seafood eatery by the beach.

This hotel will bring a spot of luxury to your getaway and is a fabulous five-star affair. There’s direct access to the beach via the hotel’s gardens and it's set up for some top-quality sunbathing. You’re also just a few minutes’ walk from the town centre, where you’ll find some of Limassol’s best bars and restaurants.
The centrepiece of this hotel is a huge figure-of-eight pool, with a swim-up bar to keep you well refreshed. There’s also a snazzy whirlpool bath, an indoor option and a kid’s pool, too. Why not have a game of tennis on the hotel’s courts or start the day with a spot of yoga?
