20 reasons to choose a Holiday Village for your next holiday

From kids' clubs to all-day dining, here's why a Holiday Village ticks all the boxes.
In 2024, Holiday Villages celebrated their 20th Anniversary. Yep, your eyes haven’t deceived you – 20 years. Time flies when you’re having fun, right? To celebrate, we thought we’d give you 20 reasons why you should choose a Holiday Village for your next family getaway. From HV clubs for all ages to professionally run academies, keep scrolling to find out more.

1. They’re fun for the whole family

All our Holiday Villages line up day-to-night entertainment for your whole crew, with everything from inflatable water courses to Aerial Adventure courses. Plus, at some hotels there are separate spaces just for adults, like at the Holiday Village Rhodes, which comes with a just-for-grown-ups bar.

2. They’re All Inclusive as standard

Every Holiday Village is All Inclusive as standard. So, when you book a package holiday you’ll get everything from your flights and transfers to your food and drink included as part of the deal. The best bit? With everything taken care of you don’t have to sweat about your budget while you’re away.

3. Your little ones can learn something new

For a little extra, you can book one of our HV Academies for kids ages four to 15. The Football Academy helps future World Cup stars sharpen their dribbling skills, while the Stage Academy is the stuff of dreams for wannabe pop stars. Plus, there’s the Swim Academy, which helps little ones aged over three become more confident in the water. Places are limited so it’s best to book before you go, you’ll find the details in Manage My Booking once you’ve booked.

4. Or, make new pals in our HV Clubs.

HV Clubs line up a bumper list of activities for all ages. There’s the HV Creche for the smallest member of the clan, the HV Club for three to six and seven to nine-year-olds, plus HV Crew for kids aged 10 to 12. You can relax while the kids are spending time in our kids’ clubs – they’re all run to UK standards, so your little ones are in safe hands.

5. The pool scenes are top notch

Every Holiday Village resort comes with an impressive pool line-up. Take the Holiday Village AQI Turkiye for example, where there’s a different pool for every day of the week. The biggest of the bunch is larger than the average lake, plus there’s a selection of quieter spots and a pair of pools just for kids.

6. Some even have waterparks

Waterparks are often top of the must-do agenda on family holidays. So, to save you the hassle of a big family day out – we know how hard it can be to get everybody out the door on time – most of our resorts flaunt their own waterparks. The aqua park at the Holiday Village Red Sea lines up a lazy river, a wave pool and a selection of slides. It’s just across the road at the sister hotel next door.

7. Beach days are in the bag

If you’d rather soak up the sun on a beach than around a pool, you’ll be pleased to hear most of our Holiday Villages are close to a beach. Some even come with a beachfront postcode. Holiday Village AQI Türkiye goes ones step further and bags you a private stretch of sand – it’s perfect for topping up your tan while building sandcastles with your little ones.

8. The fun doesn’t stop when the sun goes down

Once you’ve tucked into dinner, you can look forward to live shows and parties that take to the main stage seven nights a week. Things usually kick off with a party game, before live entertainment fills the rest of the evening.

9. Teens are looked after.

With everything from mocktail-making sessions to TikTok classes, the HV Zone lines up a range of activities that’ll keep older ones aged 13+ busy. Plus, some resorts have an outdoor cinema, exclusive to The Zone, with blankets, fairy-lights and a sunset as a backdrop.

10. We’ve got family-sized rooms covered

We know travelling as a large family can be a little tricky when it comes to choosing your room. That’s why our Holiday Villages offer rooms that’ll fit the whole family – the two-bedroom apartments at the Holiday Village Aliathon in Cyprus fit up to six people. You can upgrade to a room with swimming pool access, or even a private pool at some resorts, like the Holiday Village Atlantica Rhodes.

11. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from

Each Holiday Village comes with at least three restaurants – as well as the main buffet restaurant you’ll get at least two à la carte or themed restaurants to try out, too. In the buffet restaurant, you’ll find a dedicated area for kids to choose from. Fussy eater in tow? Not a problem, our buffet spreads have got them covered.

12. ...and bars, too.

Let’s not forget the drinks. The Holiday Village Red Sea lines up five bars, including a place that’s open 24-hours for soft drinks. Over at the Holiday Village Costa del Sol, the Irish pub bar has got you covered for all big live sports events.

13. You can take your kid for free*

We’ve got hundreds of free kids' places available at our Holiday Villages, so you can take your little one away without paying a penny. They’re super popular, so it’s worth booking in advance to secure your spot. To save you scrolling, take a look at our free kids' places finder for the best deals.

14. …and book with a £0 deposit.*

Booking in advance means you can secure your holiday with a low deposit. Or, you can even lock in your stay with a £0 deposit when you spread the cost with Direct Debit.

You can forget those pesky 1am wake-up calls when you fly with us. We’ve got flights from more than 20 UK airports, so you can take off to one of our Holiday Villages from an airport that’s closer to you.

16. We’re there for you 24/7 while you’re away

There’s a huge team on hand to help at every Holiday Village, including more than 30 members of entertainment staff. If you need to speak to us while they’re not around, you can chat to us on the TUI app, or give us a call, around the clock.

17. You’ll get to meet Gizmo, Doobley and Whatsit

Our friendly widgets have been with us since 2010, and it’s fair to say they’ve become part of the family. They share the stage with our entertainment team some evenings and you’ll sometimes spot them hanging out during the day, too.

Russell the Brussel is our healthy eating mascot. Keep your eyes peeled for his crunch competitions which encourage kids to eat healthy at mealtimes. Carrots at the ready, please!

19. Ice-cream is on tap

“Mum, can I have another ice-cream?” Sound familiar? We know little ones love to keep cool with an ice-cream while they’re away, that’s why it’s free at all of our Holiday Village resorts.

20. There are lots of destinations to choose from

There are nine holiday villages in our collection, so you can discover somewhere new, or head back to one of your favourite spots. The latest addition to the collection is the Holiday Village AQI Skanes Resort in Tunisia. It’s set to join in summer 2026, when it’ll feature a fresh new look. The Holiday Village Majorca and the Holiday Village Ibiza are a great option if you don’t fancy flying for long with a flight time of around two hours from the UK. You can even tie the knot at some of our Holiday Villages, including the Holiday Village Seaview Ibiza.
