The airport’s getting a facelift, to the tune of £1.3 billion which, once completed in 2025, will provide lots more facilities including a high street-style shopping area, a Champagne bar and a food hall. It’s safe to say, we’re pretty excited for what’s to come.
While the refurb’s going on, our check-in area may look a little different than normal. But don’t worry, our team are on hand to make sure your experience is a smooth one. As always, it’s a good idea to arrive at the airport with sufficient time before your flight. Our check-in desks open three hours before departure for flights to Europe and Africa, and four hours for long-haul flights giving you plenty of time to check in your luggage and make your way through security. Arriving any earlier than this won’t mean you can check in or pass through security early.
On that note, don’t forget that if your flight takes off before noon, you can drop your bags between 2pm and 9pm using our day-before bag drop, making your departure day easier – click here for more details. You can do this for all flights except those going to the USA. And, just so you know, if you’re driving to the airport to drop your bags, you can use the T2 West Multi Storey Car Park for up to an hour, free of charge – you’ll collect a token as you enter the car park and you’ll need to validate it before leaving the terminal - our TUI airport team will show you where to do this.
Rest assured, our team will be on hand to provide help and support wherever needed. Together with Manchester Airport, we’re doing our best to make sure the facelift has the littlest effect as you pass through the airport. At the same time, we’re excited to be working behind the scenes to improve your future experience.
