Kalkan rises steeply from the harbour, so you might want to think about apartments close to the town if you have little ones. The main beach in Kalkan is a Blue Flag number which means it’s clean and safe for kids. The water here is crystal clear and there are plenty of umbrellas to keep the kids shaded. Other beaches nearby include Kaputas, a 10-minute drive away, and Patara Beach, a 12-kilometre stretch of sand backed by a national park.
