Thanks to our last minute holidays to Menorca, you can enjoy this sleepy Balearic Island within a few days or weeks.
Introducing Menorca
When it comes to holidaying in the Balearics, Ibiza and Majorca steal the spotlight — and that’s the way Menorca likes it. This laid-back island is a go-slow version of its neighbours, so you’ll spend your days mooching on the beach or exploring historic cities. Nights, meanwhile, are well-spent digging in to seafood paella in a fairy light-lit harbour restaurant or sipping gin in a jazz bar.
From Mahon to Ciutadella
The two harbour cities of Mahon and Ciutadella bookend Menorca. They’ve both been island capitals at one time or another, dealing out swish marinas, boutique shops, Gothic cathedrals and Georgian mansions between them.
Blue Flag beaches
Menorca packs away more sandy beaches than Ibiza and Majorca put together. Son Bou is the biggest stretch, but the rugged coastline squeezes in plenty of tiny tucked-away coves, too. Some towns put down roots back in the Sixties, so there’s also a great choice of purpose-built resorts like Cala’n Forcat and Cala’n Blanes.
