Lido di Jesolo holidays take you to a purpose built beach resort on a 10-mile golden sand beach, just a stone’s throw away from Via Bafile’s pizzerias and designer shops. As a Venetian Riviera resort, this place has easy Venice ferry access – you can take a short boat ride from Punta Sabbiono to get there.
Lido di Jesolo’s a vibrant seaside town that’s popular thanks to its spot on the edge of Venice Lagoon, its luxury waterfront hotels and the car-free Via Bafile promenade. It has typical Venetian Riviera nightlife, too, so you can dance the night away if that’s your vibe. And by day, there’s plenty going on – in Piazza Mazzini, you have a flurry of shops and coffee bars, and you can haggle for a bargain at the Piazza Kennedy farmers market.
If you’re a fan of a big beach, you’ve struck lucky with Lido di Jesolo’s 15-kilometre swathe of golden Dolomite sand. Pair this crumbly sweep with clear Adriatic Sea waves, and you’re onto a winner. You can even get involved with family friendly watersports, beach rugby and sandcastle competitions if you fancy. On the other hand, if you like your beach days a bit more chilled, La Pineta’s pine-backed sands are the place to be.
Families have it made with Lido di Jesolo’s attractions. It’s home to the Aqualandia Caribe Bay waterpark, which has plenty for adrenaline junkies, including the Spacemaker – a 42-metre slide. Plus, you can try classic rides at the New Jesolandia fairground, and visit Pista Azzurra, where you can learn about F1 legend heritage. Jesolo Sea Life Aquarium’s great for little ones, too.
You can easily take a daytrip to Venice when you stay here – Lido di Jesolo’s Venice lagoon ferry takes about 90 minutes. When you arrive, you can explore St Mark’s Square landmarks, see the Bridge of Sighs at sunset and maybe even try out a gondola excursion. Other sights not to miss include the Basilica di San Marco, Doge’s Palace and Gallerie dell’Accademia. One thing’s for sure – you won’t be bored making your way around the huge network of Venetian canals.
