Kalathos holidays
Jump to sections
Holidays to Kalathos take you to a traditional village in Rhodes where you can indulge in some real R&R, just a stone's throw from some lively towns.
A friendly escape
This dinky village in eastern Rhodes offers up a handful of excellent bars and tavernas, along with a huge beach where you can really escape the crowds. It makes an ideal base for exploring the island. And with lively Lindos just six kilometres down the road, you really do get the best of both worlds.
Secluded sands
It’s a 15-minute walk to the beach, a sand-and-shingle affair that goes on for around four kilometres. So you won't have to walk far to find your own private patch. The waters are crystal clear and, in busier spots, you’ll find loungers and umbrellas to rent. The road running alongside the beach, meanwhile, is home to tavernas, a snack bar and a supermarket.
Daytrips to Rhodes Town
You’re 45 kilometres from the island's capital. Rhodes Town is Europe’s oldest inhabited Medieval town, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site in its own right. Wander the cobbled, narrow streets and you’ll find museums, churches and the Street of the Knights, one of the best-preserved Medieval monuments in the world. The old town’s also dotted with bars and restaurants, making it a prime spot for dining.
