1. CORAL BAY

A landscape of banana plantations and vineyards surrounds this pretty slice of white sand. The beach’s Blue Flag certification and shallow waters guarantee that it’s a safe spot for swimming, plus, you’re covered on the entertainment front – there are plenty of beach bars dotted along the seafront, and you can give waterskiing a go here, too.

2. NISSI BEACH

Nissi Beach might be just round the corner from nightlife hotspot Ayia Napa, but the vibe couldn’t be more different. Here, chilled-out sunbathers dot the pearly sand while across the turquoise waters, on a little offshore island, a watersports centre keeps you entertained.

3. AKTI OLYMPION

Limassol’s beach lines up two kilometres of soft sand. Its calm waters make it a family-friendly spot – kids also have a playground to keep them busy. And cafés, bars, and restaurants are on offer here, too.

4. KONNOS BAY BEACH

You’ll find Konnos Bay beach to the east of Protaras, at the edge of Cape Greco, a National Forest Park. So, it’s no wonder that this place is easy on the eye. Expect fine golden sand, crystal-clear waters, and camera-ready views.

5. LARA BEACH, LARA BAY

If you’re after some authentic Cypriot coast, this rugged spot will be right up your street. It’s tucked away in the Akamas Peninsula, which makes it a little more peaceful than some of Cyprus’ busier beaches. And it’s not just tourists who can take advantage of the quiet, either. The beach is a popular nesting spot for local Green and Loggerhead turtles.
