About the villa

Set on a pedestrianised street near Lapad Bay, Karolina’s House is a welcoming base with restaurants, bars and the beach only a four-minute walk away. The friendly owners, Lovorko and Andelka, live downstairs and are keen gardeners. They divide their time between the beautiful gardens here and their vineyard in the Peljesac Peninsula.

One of Dubrovnik's characteristically rugged beaches is just a ten-minute walk away from Karolina's House.

There’s a small but well-equipped kitchenette. The living space, meanwhile, has a dining table and chairs, plus French doors that open out onto the terrace. The shady terrace is cheerfully furnished and has kiwis trailing overhead. You can dine here with views of the pretty gardens below, which are planted with rose, magnolia and mandarin trees.

Bookings are not accepted for children under 10yrs and a maximum of 2 adults with 2 children are accepted.

A coach and/or minibus is included as per your transfer. Please note, we recommend you hire a car for this holiday.

Ok, first things first, yes, you do need to climb a number of steps to get to the apartment, so if mobility is an issue for you, take that into account (Beautiful Croatia is hilly... this means... hills or steps to get to a lot of places!) Currently here now with my partner Joanne, we've had an amazing stay. The apartment literally has everything you need, including a washing machine, which we made use of a cooker and hob with plates glasses etc. A nice balcony with sea view is very pleasant on an evening and a sun trap during the day. It's minutes walk from the main promenade with great bars and restaurants and also from a local supermarket. It's 10 to 15 minutes walk to the beautiful port which again has some greats restaurants and bars. Beaches are a walk in the other direction... pebbles, not sand, so take water shoes. Want to visit The Old Town? There's a bus stop around the corner (the number 6 bus takes you there in less than 10 minutes) €2.50 if you pay on the bus - cheaper if you buy at the kiosk opposite the bus stop. Check-in and out is contacless but very straight forward amd your hosts are available via WhatsApp if you need anything (nothing is too much trouble they have been great with us) To sum up... a great, affordable apartment close to everything and perfect as a base to explore Dubrovnik and the surrounding islands. We'd definitely come back!!!

Excellent Stay

We arrived late at night, dropped at a bus stop and had no clue where to go. However, after speaking with the host and her guidance to the apartment, check in was easy. Just look out for the green metal gate 😉. Apartment was clean although a little dated but everything you needed for a short stay. Everything was close, from the promenade, the beach and the bus stop to take you into the old town. Buses were very regular and easy to use, just take a right out of the apartment for the bus stop into old town lol. Also, very cheap €3.19 return trip on the bus. For those looking for a relaxing pool day, I recommend taking a stroll down to the marina where there is a public pool overlooking the boats and marina which is stunning. €10 for a sunbed all day and a bar and restaurant for food and drinks. Otherwise there is a beach short walk away. Host was also very accommodating when we asked to store our cases for the day as had a late flight, very helpful and allowed us to use the apartment until we needed to be picked up. Although this was only allowed as no bookings that evening so may not always be available. Would definitely come back ☺️ stunning country.

Beautiful City, Lovely Apartments

Lovely Apartments, ideally situated near bars and restaurants, short bus ride from the old town. Clean, tidy, comfortable beds, own terrace with beautiful view. Owners were kind and helpful, nothing too much trouble and they were always on hand to help. They very kindly allowed us to have a late check out so we were able to use the facilities and store our luggage on our last day. They also organised our airport transfer which was brilliant, so quick and easy. We have been blown away by Dubrovnik, such a stunning city, lovely welcoming people, beautiful surroundings and lovely bars, restaurants and historical buildings to explore and enjoy. Thank you to Romona and her family for a lovely stay, we very much hope to return in the near future.

Lovely apartment.

This is a lovely little apartment. It is close to many bars and restaurants and also the beach. The bus stop for the Old Town is also very close as is the supermarket. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony at the end of a busy day. Our hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. We would definitely recommend this as a base to explore the area.

Lapad Apartments Dubrovnik

We had a great stay at Lapad Apartments. Location was brilliant with close access to restaurants, bars,beaches and lovely walking trails. Access to the apartments was a stairway to the top floor but the apartments were as described and had all the great amenities listed. Balcony views were spectacular and the beds were very comfy. The hosts welcome info was clear and communication was helpful plus allowed us a bit more time in one apartment (we had 2) as we had a late flight. I’d definitely recommend the apartments for value.
