Best time to go to Djerba Island

With over 300 days of sunshine and very little rain, Djerba Island is a fantastic year-round destination. The main summer season runs from April to October, with average temperatures hovering between 23 and 33 degrees. What’s more, there are plenty of sea breezes to cool the air, so things rarely get too hot. For the rest of the year, the thermometer tends to stay around the 18-degree mark.

Passports & Visas

British citizens don’t need a visa to enter Tunisia but must have a valid passport. There is a Tunisian Tourism Tax which is payable at your hotel. It's 12 Dinar per person per night for 4 and 5 star hotels, 8 Dinar per person per night for 3 star hotels and 4 Dinar per person per night for 2 star hotels. Please note that the star rating measure refers to the official star rating and not our TUI or First choice rating. The tax will be paid for a maximum of 10 nights and is not applicable for guests aged under 12 years old.
