Best time to go to Egypt
One of the best things about Egypt is you can go any time of year. Temperatures soar above 35°C in the summer, and rarely dip below 20°C in the winter. Spring and autumn are ideal times to visit if you prefer things hot rather than scorching – the mercury tends to linger comfortably in the high 20s. An umbrella is one thing you won’t have to worry about putting in your suitcase – it only rains once in a blue moon here. You might want to pack a jumper if you’re coming in the winter, though – after the sun dips below the horizon things can get surprisingly chilly. And if you’re a diver, bear in mind that, while the waters here are a toasty 28°C in summer, they drop to around 20°C in December and January.
