57TH STREET

Whether you’re ready to flash your credit card, or you’re up for a bit of window shopping, 57th Street is the place for you. Full to the brim with big-name boutiques like Bergdorf Goodman and Yves Saint Laurent, this street is a dreamy destination for fans of fresh-from-the-catwalk, avant-garde looks.

MADISON AVENUE

The list of shops that you’ll find along Madison Avenue’s a roll call of the biggest designer names in the business. We’re talking Chloe, Emporio Armani, Prada, and Gucci. Plus, iconic NYC department store Barneys’ flagship store can be found on Madison Avenue, too.

FIFTH AVENUE

On this street, every couple of paces brings you to a new flagship store. There really is something for everyone, too, from Longchamp to Lego. You’ll also find famous New York hotspot Saks Fifth Avenue here. Plus, the street runs right along the east side of Central Park, so you can claim a spot in the park once you’ve had enough of shopping. Or, walk less than 10 minutes from Fifth Avenue’s H&M, and you’ll find yourself in bustling Times Square.

UNION SQUARE GREENMARKET

This market brings a little slice of countryside into the heart of the city. All year round, farmers from far and wide flock to Union Square on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. This bustling market touts the likes of fresh produce, flowers, and wine, and attracts around 60,000 shoppers every market day.

BLOOMINGDALES

This department store makes its home on the chic Upper East Side. It’s pretty hard to miss, too, sprawling over nine floors in a classic Art Deco building. Although this place used to be known as a high-end haven, these days you can snap up some mid-range buys here.

MACY’S HERALD SQUARE

Macy’s has been attracting savvy shoppers ever since it opened in 1902. It’s definitely grown in the 116 years since then, though, now covering a massive 2.5 million square feet. With so much space to fill, it’s no wonder that you can find anything from clothes and accessories to kitchenware in this supersized shop.
