Spotlight on AVA Resort Cancun in Mexico

Find out why the AVA Resort Cancun is the perfect place for a family holiday in Cancun.
Taking the clan to Cancun? Great choice. If you’re searching for somewhere to stay, we’ve got just the place. AVA Resort Cancun has a beachfront location, and it comes with a kids’ club and a splash park. The transfer from Cancun Airport is only around 10 minutes, too, so it’s perfect if you’ve got kids ready to jump into the pool the second they’ve stepped off the plane. Ready to find out more? Let’s get into it…

Make a splash at the waterpark

We’ve got some good news if a couple of kids’ pools aren’t cutting it for your little one – this hotel comes with a splash park where they can whizz down a handful of small slides and chutes. And, if you’re travelling with older kids, they’ve got plenty of space for swimming and games in the huge lagoon-style pools. Adults, meanwhile, can soak up the Caribbean sun on a waterside lounger or keep cool with a frozen cocktail from the swim-up bar. Ice-cold daiquiri, anyone?

Tuck in to international dishes from 14 restaurants

There’s something to please every palate at AVA Resort Cancun. Yep, even the fussiest of eaters. You can take your pick from 14 restaurants at dinnertime here, including an Italian spot that dishes up pizzas and pasta and a Mediterranean joint with mezze on the menu. Plus, for the kids – and grown-ups – who love an ice-cream on holiday... you can pick up scoops of the good stuff from a pair of parlours here. The best bit? It’s included in your All Inclusive package, so you can keep your pesos in your pocket. Ker-ching.

Bag some me-time while the kids are at AVA Kids’ club

Kids’ facilities aren’t the only thing this hotel has going for it – there are pools and restaurants reserved for adults, too. The good news? There’s a hotel-run kids’ club on hand to take care of little ones aged 4 to 12, so you can explore the adults-only areas of the hotel child-free. P.S. The hydrotherapy pool is bliss. Oh, and we almost forgot to mention, the kids’ club is open until late, so grown-ups are free to book in at the adults-only restaurant, Chez Moi, which serves up – in case you hadn’t guessed it – classic bistro dishes from the French capital.

Get the group together for games

You’ve got a few options for family fun at this place. As well as a bowling alley, there’s also an escape room where you can work as a team to break out before time runs out. Once you’re out, head to the hotel’s watersports centre to try kayaking, paddleboarding or windsurfing.
