Four reasons to stay at VIVA Cala Mesquida Resort & Spa

Find out why VIVA Cala Mesquida Resort & Spa is the perfect spot for your next getaway.
Meet Majorca’s VIVA Cala Mesquida Resort & Spa, where a beachfront setting, sea-facing pools and a spa with a wellness centre set you up for a perfectly peaceful stay. Like what you’re reading? Keep going to uncover four reasons why you should choose it for your next getaway…

Picture-perfect pool days

There’s only one decision to make once you’ve tucked in to breakfast at this hotel – which pool to pitch up beside for the day. Your options include the main pool which spans two tiers, or you can take off to one of the rectangle pools that are set on the edge of a cliff – they’re perfect for a paddle when you need to cool down. If you’re travelling with tots in tow, we’ve got a good feeling they’ll probably want to head straight for the pirate-themed splash park. Maybe they’d prefer the new splash pool area? It features a water play zone with jets, a pool with a slide and a separate spot where they can play out of the water. And, if you’re staying in a Selection Club room, there’s an extra option in the mix – a separate pool is reserved just for Selection Club guests.

Tasty food

Three restaurants feature on the dining line up at this hotel. First up, there’s the main buffet, where you can pick from a selection of local and international plates. Playa Mirablau majors in grilled meat and fish dishes, and you’ve also got Trattoria Bella Vita which – in case you haven’t already guessed – dishes up Italian plates off the menu. If hunger strikes in between main meals, head to the newly refurbished sports bar – it’s styled like an American diner and serves up snacks and burgers. As well as all that, at breakfast and lunchtime, Selection Club guests can choose from a selection of Med-inspired dishes at La Terrazza Mediterranean.

Lots of games and activities

Like to stay active while you’re away? No problem. The hotel’s activity programme covers everything from beach volleyball and bike hire to aerobics and archery. There’s also a hotel-run kids’ club and a playground where little ones can let off extra steam, too. After dark, live music and dance shows take to the main stage and after-dinner cocktails are on hand from the bar.

Beachfront location

You can flip between the pool and the beach in seconds at this place – it spreads out on a cliffside, just above a sandy beach. Aside from sunloungers, there’s not much else around, so you’re sorted for peaceful days spent on the sand. Oh, and like most beaches in Majorca, the waters here are calm and clear, so it’s worth adding your snorkels to your suitcase.
